Founded in 1983, Robin Straus Agency, Inc., incorporating The Wallace Literary Agency, is a full service literary agency representing a select group of authors. We believe the agent-author relationship should be a long one, extending well beyond the initial contractual negotiations, into the various phases of the publishing process. We offer expert editorial and marketing advice, as well as licensing, and selling TV/film, audio, foreign, dramatic and serial rights.

Robin Straus is a member of the Association of Authors' Representatives and the Women's Media Group. She graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in art history and English literature and received her M.B.A. from New York University. Prior to becoming an agent, she served as a subsidiary rights manager at Random House and Doubleday and worked in editorial at Little, Brown. She was an agent at the Wallace & Sheil Agency before founding Robin Straus Agency, Inc. in 1983. In 2014 she acquired The Wallace Literary Agency.

Danielle Matta is a Junior Agent at the Robin Straus Agency. She graduated from NYU with a BA in English, specializing in Creative Writing and Post-Colonial Literature, and joined RSA in May of 2020 after her internships at McIntosh & Otis and Writers House. She gravitates towards inclusive fiction and non-fiction with distinct, lyrical storytelling and—being first-generation herself—underrepresented voices of diasporic and immigrant communities. She also loves an unorthodox ghost story or psychological thriller. Although Danielle has lived in NYC since 2015, she grew up in Virginia, and therefore has a life-long love for farmers markets, cornbread, and green spaces.
